Egg Expeditions are the heart of Yieldtopia. Go into the wild, take an egg from its nest, and get it back to your gate before something catches you.

How a run works

Choose a biome
Go through the Expeditions Gate in the Egg District and pick where to go.

Sneak in
Guardians sleep, patrol and hunt. Sneaking keeps you quiet, but slows you down.

Grab an egg
Bigger eggs are worth more: Small 1x, Medium 2x, Large 4x and Giant 8x. They also slow you down, by up to 45%.

Run it home
Carry the egg back to your gate to bank it. If a guardian catches you, the egg goes back to its nest.

Deeper biomes have sharper-eyed guardians, more rivals and rarer eggs. Every biome also has its own boss arena.

Rivals

Other players in the same biome at the same time share your map, and AI rivals join them. Anyone can tackle you, knock you down and take the egg you're carrying, and you can tackle them back. Eggs and pets already in your base can never be stolen.

If a run can't start, the energy is given back.

Speed

Each biome needs a minimum speed. You start at 30. Training sessions at the Speed Gym ($0.25 of $YIELD for 30 minutes) raise it. Treadmills, trails and bonuses, bought with Farm Cash, raise it further and make training faster.

Bosses, events and secrets

Boss fights: up to three of your pets fight beside you and rush the boss while it's dazed.
Timed events on a UTC schedule: Golden Hour and Professor Yolk's Egg Scramble.
Secrets: the Secret Grotto, unlocked through a fishing quest, and the Kennel, where you find the lost pup.
Daily and weekly quests.
